Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. She made her debut in a feature film with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to portray the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donnevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Doody began her modeling career after her being approached by a hopeful photographer. Her career has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against fashion, thongs and glamour when she was modeling. She was cast in a minor role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when she was spotted by the director of casting. Doody's name appeared in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising young actors in 1986. 38. Doody was 18 years old in the role of Doody in Bond, was and is still the oldest Bond girl until today. She then took on her greatest role as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen, as well as girlfriend in Major League II. She had been chosen as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. Doody was absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back in 2003 to play a small role in her role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine appeared as her as a character at an award ceremony. Her roles include an appearance in a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust, and the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005.
