Aisha Hinds, an American actress who is best known for playing roles in the television series The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has proven her range in acting making outstanding appearances on TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her performance as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. In reality, it was her role as feminist activist Fannie Lou Hamer, in the biography film All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actor. Hind earned praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show was renewed for the third season, thanks to 20th Century Fox Television. Recently Hind wrapped filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled to release mid-2019.
